A new 10-part Small Group
Practicing the Way is a small group experience designed to help participants grow in discipleship, spiritual formation, and community. The curriculum combines the Practicing the Way course, book + guide rooted in reflection and discussion to guide participants through transformative practices rooted in Jesus’ way of life.

Schedule + Curriculum:
February 1 at 1pm // Intro to Practicing the Way
The program begins with an introductory session to outline the structure and resources and set expectations and tone for the small group.
February 8, at 2pm // Session 1 – Following Jesus:
Participants will explore what it means to follow Jesus not just through belief but as a way of life. This session introduces the concept of discipleship rooted in first-century practices and applies it to modern life.
Practice: Develop a daily time and place to connect with God.
February 15 at 1pm // Session 2 – Formation Part 1
This session focuses on the forces that shape individuals, including habits, relationships, environment, and time. Participants will conduct a “life audit” to identify the influences shaping their lives, both past and present.
Practice: Take a “life audit,” an inventory of all the forces that are forming you now and in the past.
February 22 at 2pm // Session 3 – Formation Part 2
Building on the previous session, this teaching introduces intentional spiritual practices as a pathway for transformation. Participants are encouraged to replace an old habit with a new spiritual discipline.

March 1 at 1pm // Session 4 – The Practices
This session introduces ancient spiritual disciplines, or “practices,” that open individuals to the transformative work of the Holy Spirit. Participants will begin the spiritual discipline of Sabbath, creating space to connect deeply with God.

March 8 at 2pm // Session 5 – Meeting God in Pain and Suffering
Pain and suffering can hinder spiritual growth if not processed in healthy ways. This session explores how God meets us in our pain to bring healing and transformation.
Practice: Notice and name your emotions in the presence of God through prayer.
March 15 at 1pm // Session 6 – Healing from Sin
This session examines the dimensions of sin—sin done by us, to us, and around us—and guides participants through the practice of confession as a step toward healing.
Practice: Confess and name your sin to someone you trust.
March 22 at 2pm // Session 7 – Crafting a Rule of Life
Participants learn how to create a personalized “Rule of Life,” a schedule and set of practices that help them stay connected to Jesus, become like Him, and live out His mission.

March 29 at 1pm // Session 8 – Life Together
The final teaching session highlights the importance of following Jesus in the context of intentional, transformative community. Participants are encouraged to identify their community and commit to regular gatherings.

April 5 at 2pm // Celebration Weekend
The series concludes with a celebration to reflect on the journey, share testimonies, and celebrate the transformation that has taken place during the program.
