A new 9-Week small group

The Financial Peace University (FPU) — Small Group is a step-by-step program created by Dave Ramsey to help individuals take control of their money, eliminate debt, and build wealth. The small group runs for nine weeks and includes video lessons, group discussions, and individual activities.

Week 1: Baby Step 1 & Budgeting
* Key Topics: Introduction to the 7 Baby Steps, creating a zero-based budget, and the importance of a $1,000 emergency fund.
Goal: Build a solid financial foundation by starting an emergency fund and learning how to budget effectively.

Week 2: Pay Off All Debt (Except the House)
Key Topics: The Debt Snowball method, prioritizing debts, and staying motivated to become debt-free.
Goal: Focus on paying off debts in a structured way, smallest to largest.

Week 3: Save a Fully Funded Emergency Fund
Key Topics: Building a 3–6 month emergency fund for financial stability.
Goal: Protect yourself from unexpected financial crises.

Week 4: Invest for the Future
Key Topics: Understanding retirement accounts (401(k), Roth IRA), the power of compound interest, and investment strategies.
Goal: Learn how to invest 15% of your income for retirement.

Week 5: Build Wealth and Give Generously
Key Topics: Wealth-building strategies, the importance of generosity, and the joy of giving.
Goal: Use wealth to bless others while continuing to grow financially.

Week 6: Insurance
Key Topics: Choosing the right insurance (health, auto, life, disability, etc.) to protect your finances.
Goal: Ensure you’re properly insured without being over- or under-covered.

Week 7: Retirement and College Planning
Key Topics: Saving for your children’s education and additional retirement strategies.
Goal: Create a plan for college savings (e.g., 529 plans) while staying on track for retirement.

Week 8: Real Estate and Mortgages
Key Topics: Deciding when to buy a home, choosing a mortgage, and paying off your home early.
Goal: Understand how to handle real estate transactions wisely.

Week 9: The Great Misunderstanding (Generosity)
Key Topics: The spiritual and practical benefits of giving, living with a generous mindset.
Goal: Embrace generosity as a key component of financial peace and freedom.

• Each week includes a video lesson (about 45–60 minutes) featuring Dave Ramsey or other Ramsey personalities.
• Participants are encouraged to work on action steps, like budgeting or creating a debt payoff plan, between sessions.
• Group discussions help reinforce learning and provide accountability.
